Ketolicious Cheesy Biscuits with Turkey Sausage

Ingredients
- 2 cups almond flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 2-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- SAUSAGE:
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1-1/2 teaspoons pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried sage leaves
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, whisk the first 5 ingredients. In another bowl, whisk eggs, cheddar cheese and cream. Stir into flour mixture just until moistened. Drop dough by rounded 1/3 cupfuls 2 in. apart onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake until golden, 15-20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, for sausage, in a large bowl, combine onion, pepper, sage and salt. Add turkey to mixture; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into eight 5-in. patties. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. In batches, add patties. Cook until a thermometer reads 165°, 5-6 minutes on each side. Split biscuits in half; fill each with a sausage patty.
